One of the best Chinese restaurants around. Not just Placerville. Lunch specials are enormous. Always enough for another meal. $7.99 gets you tea and choice of Hot and sour soup with the nice mushrooms or flower blossom. Then the platter arrives with your eggroll, chicken chow mein partially covered by pork fried rice and your choice of about 12 items. Usually sesame chicken, I went Walnut Shrimp - about a dozen of those in a great sauce. Everything I've had is seasoned so well, and fried items are never greasy. Very fast friendly service even at peak lunch time. Highly recommend!

My roommate and I decided to stop here for lunch and it was amazing! Great portion sizes, the food was really amazing. But the main reason I decided to leave a review was for the pot stickers! Not everywhere has good pot stickers but theirs were PERFECT! 5 stars, will be coming back. Definitely recommend!

Amazing food!!! The plates are big, so prepare to take home leftovers. Try the honey walnut shrimp if you can. It's my favorite, and they cook it perfectly.

Since I was coming down the hill after a day hike in Placerville, I stopped by Hong Kong Inn to grab takeout to celebrate New Year's Eve. I was not in the mood to cook dinner and remembered this restaurant was nearby. The food was pretty good, Americanized Chinese style. They cook without MSG which I appreciate. I ordered the chicken fried rice and tangerine chicken. The fried rice was fantastic. The rice was light and fluffy with absolutely no oiliness. Very clean tasting. The pieces of chicken were cleanly cut pieces of light meat. The tangerine chicken was good. It was not overly sweet since they do not use HFCS sauces or MSG. The coating was not over floured and the chicken was moist. The menu has a hot chili pepper next to the tangerine chicken but you can ask for it to be cooked mild. Still yummy either way. The interior is a bit outdated but clean. The folks that work here are so darn kind. Another great thing about this place is the lunch ~$10.50 and dinner specials ~$13 are offered every day, not just on the weekdays.
Very good Chinese food. Nothing exotic, just very good local Chinese joint that serves very good comfort food. The lunch menu is great. It is a ton of food for the price. This is definitely my go to Chinese lunch spot in Placerville CA.
